The Procedure of the Mahnverfahren
The Mahnverfahren and its two stages
Stage 1: The Mahnverfahren - German Payment Order Submit application for German Payment Order (explanatory notes) to local district court of debtor's place of residence. A court finder can be found here. Note that the local district court "Amtsgericht" of Berlin-Wedding enjoys exclusive competence for applications from abroad, i.e. creditors not domiciled in Germany. Await Payment for two Weeks
Stage 2: The Enforcement Order Submit application for Enforcement Order Wait two weeks Enforce via local bailiff
